Successful Amarnath yatra will promote religious tourism: DC Anantnag | KNO

Anantnag, Jun 05 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir administration is expecting more Amarnath yatries this year as compared to last year, Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Syeed Fakhrudin Hamid said on Monday, adding that the successful yatra will also promote religious tourism here. Talking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the DC Anantnag said the administration has geared up to ensure an incident-free yatra. He said everything is going on as per the timeline and every service provider has geared up for better arrangements for the pilgrimage. “We are expecting more yatries this year as the last year’s pilgrimage was the first time after Covid-19,” he said, adding that PDD, PWD, PHE, Health, Pahalgam Development Authority, BRO and other departments are working shoulder to shoulder to ensure a successful yatra season like last year. “We are continuing with the technical interventions introduced last year like online radio frequency tag and online feedback in a refined way,” he said. After going through the cloudburst and other natural disaster patterns witnessed en route to Amarnath cave; the response systems and drilling systems have been refined so as to ensure incident-free pilgrimage, Hamid said—(KNO)
